Host Locations and Dates Announced for 2017 5in15 Seminars

February 6, 2017 – First15 Sport Performance is proud to announce the 2017 spring schedule for the recently launched “5in15” professional development program.  This multidisciplinary game development initiative is aimed at creating opportunities for coaches, referees, administrators, athletes, parents, and fans to learn from a wide variety of presenters committed to sharing their knowledge and experiences.  The unique format of the program maximizes the time and financial commitments of individuals interested in learning to improve performance.

Each 5in15 seminar features a panel of presenters covering valuable topics over a two hour event.  Seminar content is related to coaching, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, mental skills, officiating, sport management, and many more critical segments of sport and performance knowledge.  Participants can acquire key takeaways from concise, fifteen minute segments, detailing everything from the evolution of the tackle area, to the art of crafting a professional game report.  A major objective of the 5in15 project is to provide a platform for developing a cross-country network of hosts, educators, and learners working together to improve their local sport programs.

“Programs and individuals engaging in professional development are more likely to create positive and productive sport experiences.  We are greatly looking forward to working with dedicated individuals from all across the U.S. to deliver affordable and accessible learning at each 5in15 seminar,” said First15 Director of Performance, Katie Wurst.

Each month of the spring season features a different seminar location, starting with Charlotte, North Carolina at the end of February, and concluding in May in Marietta, Georgia.  Registration for each seminar costs $10 per person, or a $100 team rate is also available.  Several seminars will be recorded and shared via First15 media outlets to encourage expansion of the learning community.  Participants who attend a live seminar also earn three USA Rugby professional development credits.  The 2017 5in15 spring schedule is as follows:
