jessica burda - "Winning Rugby Digitally: Recruiting, Promotion & beyond"

Jessica Burda is the Director of Digital Content for University of Wisconsin Athletics overseeing the NCAA Division I Badgers' website and social media for all 23 intercollegiate varsity teams. Away from the office, she's an active member of the Wisconsin and Midwest rugby community. She played rugby for 20 years and retired after helping lead Wisconsin Women's Rugby to the 2015 USA Rugby D2 National Championship as forwards captain. She currently is the scrum coach of the Oregon-Stoughton high school boys and is training to be a USA Rugby Coach Educator. Burda is also a board member of Madison United Rugby and serves as the Social Media and Website Manager of the Wisconsin Rugby Football Union.  Jessica can be contacted at jessicaburda(at)yahoo.com.

Bob Jafferis- "X-s and O-s aren't everything"

Bob Jafferis started with the Wisconsin Rugby Club in 1980, and retired from playing after the clubs’ 4th place finish at the U.S. Nationals in 1997.  During that time he served as captain, and held a number of club administrative posts.  Bob is a founding member of the Wisconsin Rugby Sports Complex Board, and was instrumental in the fundraising and construction stages of creating the Wisconsin Rugby Sports Complex.  He is a presenter at “The World in Union (New Zealand) Conference 2017” at Massey University in Palmerston North.   As a USA Rugby Level 300 coach, he spent 20 years as the head coach for a number of high school, collegiate, and adult clubs.  Bob retired as a head coach after taking the Wisconsin Women’s Rugby Club to the Division 2 National Championship finals in 2015 and 2016.  Currently he is an advisor to the WWRC, and an assistant coach for the UW-Madison Women’s Rugby Club.  Bob's email is bjafferis(at)charter.net.

Shannon Bustillos - "Process the process"

Shannon began her 21-year rugby playing career with the Milwaukee Mayhem during the fall of 1993.  She has played for the Wisconsin Select Side, Midwest Select Side, the Mid-south Select Side, represented the South in the former ITT's, Virginia Select Side, and was a founding member of the 1997 Marquette Women's squad that won the Plate National Championship.   She helped start the Marquette Women's Club, the Nashville Grizzlies RFC, the Milwaukee School of Engineering RFC, and revived the VCU Women's RFC.  Shannon began coaching in 1997 for Marquette, and then as an assistant to Middle Tennessee State University in 1998.  In addition to her collegiate and club experience, she has also coached the Wisconsin Select Side, and was on the staff of the 2015 USA Rugby Stars and Stripes campaign.  Shannon began working for USA Rugby as an educator in 2001, is currently a trainer for World Rugby, and holds a place on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Rugby Football Union.  She recently returned to coaching collegiate men as the head coach of the Milwaukee School of Engineering.  She currently lives in Milwaukee, WI, and can be contacted at sbustillos(at)usarugby.org.
